In some instances, your inquiry might appropriately be answered by our referring to your inquiry to an insurance carrier with which we regularly work (for example, AIG, Travelers, Chubb, CNA, Fireman’s Fund, St. Paul, XL Capital, etc.), and in those cases we may, as we think appropriate, forward your inquiry, and some or all of the information that you provide, to one or more of those carriers for purposes of responding to your inquiry. CM&F does not use for marketing purposes without your permission the information you submit to us. We do not share the information you submit with third parties for marketing purposes without your permission. If we think it appropriate to forward your inquiry, and the information you submit, to a carrier, we cannot control the carrier’s further use of the information you submit. Generally, the insurance carriers with which we work have similar policies; however, CM&F does not accept any responsibility for the carriers’ policies or practices.


The Website also has interactive pages that are designed to permit you apply for certain types of insurance coverage and otherwise transact business with us via the Internet. Personal information you send using the interactive pages will be used by CM&F and by the applicable insurance carrier(s) to process your application. CM&F and the applicable carrier(s) will also use the information you provide to administer your insurance (for example, billing, manage claims, renewals, etc.). Information you send using the interactive pages may and will be maintained by CM&F and by the applicable carrier(s) as permanent records. Any information you send to us via the Internet in connection with an insurance application or insurance administration may and will be used and shared in accordance with law and industry practice in the same manner and for the same purposes as if you had provided the same information in writing. CM&F does not use applicants’ and customers’ insurance application and administration information for marketing purposes other than for renewals and using your contact information to send you information about other insurance products that may be of interest to you. CM&F does not share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes, however CM&F may use your contact information to directly offer to you services and products available from CM&F that may be of interest to you. Generally, the insurance carriers with which we work have similar policies; however CM&F does not accept any responsibility for the carriers’ policies or practices.


Our interactive pages use secure socket layer (SSL) encryption technology for browser contact. SSL protects the privacy of information as it crosses the Internet between your web browser and our web server. You can tell if you are visiting a secure area by looking at the padlock symbol at the bottom of your browser screen. If it is “locked,” you have a secure session.

Presently, regular e-mail correspondence between you and CM&F is not encrypted over the Internet.

Also, there is a danger that others may have access to your e-mail through your own computer system.


Statistical information derived from the information submitted to CM&F may be shared with third parties, however, such statistical information is not associated with any individual in a personally identifiable manner.
